Hey, everyone! So, the other day I was talking with my neighbor, Sally, right? We were talking about our favorite subject, food, as we normally do. We got on the topic of Italian cuisine and I was telling Sally that lasagna would have to be my favorite meal in that category.
Sally looked at me and smiled and said, “You obviously haven’t tried ziti yet.” Truth be told, I had not tried it yet. As much as I hate to admit this, I barely knew what ziti was.
I had a general idea of what it consisted of, but that was about it. Sally explained to me that it was the best Italian dish ever created. So naturally, I had to find this out for myself.
Little Miss Sally lead me to a wonderful recipe on the Simply Recipes website and now I’m going to share it with all of you. Elise Bauer has done a marvelous job creating this ziti recipe. Just wait until you try her it!

Quick Tip: I love to load this ziti up with parmesan cheese. Yum!
That sounds divine! The only “change” I would make is to add about a half cup or so of mushrooms (sautéed or canned, depending on preference) to the Prego mix. MMmmmm!!! I’m there! 😀
Green or red olives, peppers and onions! Anything you would put on a pizza would be good
In this!
Never made zita, this is dinner Saturday night !!
You have wonderful recipes but I would like to keep them on my pinterest. But it always pops up and says it is not a valid URL. Why???
There is no way any one Italian has anything to do with this recipe!
Thanks for letting us know!
It’s a great recipe, I am all Italian the only thing I would change is I would make my own sauce.
Thanks, Denise! I bet your sauce tastes excellent 🙂
Yum! I have never used ricotta when I make something g similar to this but that sounds awesome…can’t wait to try it.. ty dear?
I hope you love it!
I love these recipes, always something different.
Looks good to me, I make this a lot using my own sauce. I never used ricotta cheese but I will try it this way next time. Thanks for the idea.
How would you make your own chicken at home instead of Tyson chicken?
