It was time for our annual family reunion again. Every year we have one as soon as it starts to warm up. Usually around May or June. Everyone always gets assigned a food to bring, and each year it rotates so that nobody get stuck bringing the same thing all the time. Last year, Uncle Kyle was in charge of bringing the baked beans. I was never a huge fan of baked beans so it really didn’t matter to me if he just popped open a can and warmed them up. Honestly, that’s probably what I would have done.
He didn’t do that though, and everyone just kept talking about how good they were. I hadn’t even put any on my plate, so I had to go back and see what all the fuss was about. I couldn’t believe how tasty they were. If baked beans always tasted like that, I’d probably feel differently about them.
They were a lot like this recipe from All Recipes. In fact, I’m certain it’s the same recipe. Next year I am in charge of beans. Can you guess which ones I am going to make?
