My friends know that when they need to ask favors from me, huge favors that I would be reluctant to give, they always come and bring me brownies. Now don’t get me wrong. I will do everything I can for friends and families, but there are some requests that all of us have a hard time saying yes to. When those things happen, they knew what would contribute to the agreement process- brownies. It almost always works- almost. I don’t say yes if I can’t push through with it. I never did like breaking promises.
Brownies are my comfort food. Ever since I was a kid and still watched my Mom cook, brownies always made me feel better. It’s that gooey quality that always make me come undone.
I love my brownies fudgy and dense. I never did like the cakey brownies. The fudginess distinguishes the brownies from the cake, at least for me; so if they’re not fudgy, they’re not brownies.
These beer brownies are a hit to both my husband and I. We love the fudgy quality of these amazing brownies and we always have these whenever we have friends. These brownies are a no no for the kids though because of the beer content.

Quick Tip: If you don’t have a double broiler, just put a large metal or glass bowl over a pot of simmering water. Just make sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water.
