This fudgy chocolate bundt cake is far from being ordinary. While it’s true that it’s an ordinary bundt cake, the rest of the factors will tell you otherwise. First of all, this has the texture of a fudge. Dense, moist, and super chocolatey fudge that we love to dunk on our glasses of milk. And then there’s this- the coffee glaze. The coffee glaze makes everything perfect. The way it tastes with the chocolate cake reminds you of a perfect combination that will taste good no matter what.
I first tasted this chocolate bundt cake when Liz, my husband’s cousin, came back with it. She told me that her Mom baked it as a thank you to me and my husband for allowing her to stay in the house while she’s on her first year in college. First bite and I knew I found another cake worth obsessing about.
I was too shy to ask for the recipe from Liz’s Mom so I just searched all over the internet to find a similar recipe that will allow me to recreate the dessert in my own kitchen. Fortunately, I found this version from Shockingly Delicious. And guess what- yes, it’s shockingly extraordinary!
My husband and I usually ate this with freshly brewed coffee. I know, it’s quite redundant since we’re eating chocolate cake with coffee glaze. But believe me when I say this cake is perfect with coffee.
