I can’t understand people who don’t eat beef. Vegetarians, I understand of course. I have friends who really don’t eat anything other than vegetables. But I don’t understand people like my brother who say that they don’t like the taste of beef. You should see my face-it looks like a mixture of horrified and scandalized every time. Beef is the most flavorful meat for me; and you can’t not love it. That’s like saying you don’t eat chocolate because you don’t like how it tastes. Everyone loves chocolates. Everyone is supposed to love beef too.
Who wouldn’t love beef? Every slice of that amazing meat tastes so flavorful you wouldn’t want to stop eating. It’s also a pretty versatile meat that you can use in almost all recipes.
As a kid, I remember always asking Mom to make something out of beef. I just couldn’t stay away from it. I always ate a lot whenever beef was on the menu.
One of my most favorite beef recipes was my Mom’s beef brisket. She has a small jar in the pantry, unlabeled, which she called her “special spice” jar. I never did learn what’s on it, but it really made everything taste better.
This beef brisket recipe is another version that I found in Shockingly Delicious. It’s an easy dish that will have you saying, “less effort, more time to enjoy the meal”. Go on and try it- you’re going to love that extra kick in here.

Quick Tip: You can make this brisket the day before. When done, remove the meat from the crock and cool it. Place it in a container and refrigerate it overnight. The next morning, slice it and return the slices to the container and the refrigerator until dinner time. When it’s time to eat, reheat the meat in the microwave quickly and reheat the sauce on the stove.
