Old MacDonald Will Sing E-I-E-I-O Just To Have A Taste Of This Cheesy Casserole

My husband and I have a new hobby lately. Well, it has been forced upon us by innocent little kids whom we love very much. My husband and I take turns in singing nursery rhymes with our kids every Saturday morning. And we probably now know the lyrics from Simple Simon Says to The Farmer In The Dell. The good thing about this is that my husband and I both sing well. My husband was a member of a band while I’ve been singing since I was a kid. The neighbors will not call the cops on us just because we’re “screaming bloody murder” when it’s actually just our singing voices.

This routine started one weekend when one of the boys woke up crying. Calvin had a bad dream and it scared him so much. The only thing that stopped his crying was when my husband put on a CD compilation of nursery rhymes.

Chiyo woke up after and started dancing to the catchy tunes (yes, early in the morning). Since then, those two boys wake us up every Saturday morning just to sing along to the songs. We had to have a schedule so that one of us can sleep in-we do this alternately.

These nursery rhymes remind me of this Farmer’s casserole that I am about to share with you. The best ingredients come in a farm, and this is just apt for that one nursery rhyme. This casserole recipe is a tasty creation that you can serve for breakfast or for lunch-pretty versatile huh?
