Oh My Word, This Is Call-Yo-Momma Delicious!
When I was a kid, we usually go to one of our uncle’s farms for vacation. Uncle Rob loved to invite all of his nieces and nephews so he could have company.
Uncle Rob loved having us around, and he was always our favorite uncle. His large farm house was filled with laughter, and there was never a dull moment during our stay. Whenever we were there, he spoiled us with fresh farm food like farm eggs and fresh cow’s milk. Oh my goodness – nothing tastes better than fresh milk! I might have been scared of cows when I was little, but I was certainly not scared of their milk.
Uncle Rob got the talent in cooking just like my Mom and her other sisters. He cooked the best food for us, mostly country food, and we were never hungry. He made sure to use the freshest ingredients so we’d have the full farm experience.
One of his favorite recipes was fried chicken steak. He always served it with creamy mashed potatoes and savory gravy, which were all made from scratch. Mom always told me and my brother that we gained pounds every time we came from Uncle Rob’s farm.
Well, Mom, you came from this familyv- you know we can never resist good food. Anyway, the recipe I am about to share with you was from Mr. Food. It’s a version of my favorite farm food – Southern chicken fried steak.
