We have a habit of playing games during the weekend nights as our form of bonding with the family. One of our recent favorites is Uno Stacko. It’s a perfect bonding with the family. Everyone’s excited and quiet at the same time, waiting for the stacks to finally fall on the floor. The competition always ends up between me and my husband just because the boys do not have that cautiousness that we adults have. And I always win- I am so good at this game. My husband doesn’t stand a chance.
Last time that we played the game, we had a tiny competition that the kids didn’t know. While it’s a friendly one that didn’t involve money as a consequence, we didn’t want our children getting the idea on how it worked. The consequence would be- the one who lost would cook supper (pretty innocent!).
We agreed on six rounds of Uno Stacko. At first, I was winning; but the competition went to his favor by the third game. Our sons weren’t even watching us anymore- they were playing with their toys beside us.
And he won, fair and square. It was fine with me, but before I went to cook dinner, I told him: “I bet that you’re gonna love dinner.” He just laughed and nodded.
Who wouldn’t enjoy this pan-seared pork tenderloin recipe? The pork itself was juicy and tender; something you didn’t think you’d achieve when cooking at the stove. This dish will surprise you- it surprised me.
