When I was a kid, my Mom used to bake these little bars that tasted like caramel and butter. At first, I didn’t know what they were called. As a kid, I called everything that’s cakey, cake. And since those bars had a texture similar to cake, I called it mini caramel cake. I was a bit older when I found out that they’re called butterscotch bars. And my world has never been the same ever since.
My family loves butterscotch desserts. My sons love the sweet and rich taste of it. They’re fans of anything that has that melt-in-the-mouth quality.
My husband is a fan of anything butterscotch because he grew up eating butterscotch desserts like me. We pretty much had the same family atmosphere, and that includes the kitchen atmosphere, if you know what I mean. It’s one of the reasons why we easily clicked all those years ago.
This butterscotch pudding recipe from Recipe Girl instantly clicked in our family. In fact, this is now one of the desserts that I can always make for them. Anything that all of us loves, I put them under the favorites recipe.
