There’s a place in California called Pink’s that is said to make the BEST hot dogs in the world. Their chili dogs are hailed as the most amazing chili dogs you could ever have. While I’m traveling, I love exploring fun food places, such as Pink’s.
But I live in Texas and that’s quite a bit away from California. It means I have to scour for similar recipes to try to bring some of the magic home. In lieu of Pink’s I present you with Chili Cheese Dog Casserole.
It’ll hold you over until you can find the best chili cheese dog in your town. But to be honest, it might become your new favorite! It’s a delightful spin on the original chili dog, it makes it fun to eat and fun to make. It certainly has become one of my favorite recipes!

Quick Tip – This dish is best made in a casserole dish, preferably glass, so that the chili doesn’t stain.

You mentioned chili staining? After using whatever dish do NOT rinse it or go to wash it right away…….pour a little dawn dish soap in it and using fingers completely spread dish liquid all the way around inside of container. Works for any tomato based food like spaghetti sauce or chili. Works very well on plastic/ rubbermade containers
