My sons have different quirks when it comes to requesting for something. Chiyo will sit on either me or his dad’s lap, give either of us a hug, and then say his request. Calvin on the other hand will approach us, stare at us with those adorable eyes, and then say this request. But whoever makes the request, my husband and I usually give it to them. Those two are our weaknesses as well as our strengths. And that will not change.
A few days ago, I was busy doing my work when the two of them approached me. My instinct as a mother told me that there wasn’t anything wrong. The two of them simply wanted something.
And I was right. They did the Chiyo approach and each climbed into my lap and hugged me. It was Calvin who voiced out their thoughts: “We want brownies, Momma. Can we have brownies?”
Usually, I would try my very best to say no. But I was a bit touched by their gestures that I said yes. After I finished my work, the three of us went to the kitchen and made the brownies.
It was a brownie cake though. It was a recipe I have gotten from Stock Piling Moms. It’s easy and at the same time more special than just brownies.
