My life is all about soups these days! After such heavy Thanksgiving and Christmas meals I feel the need to tweak my usual weekly menu into something a bit leaner.
I’m not much of a salad eater, especially during the winter so I’ve decided to gather a bunch of delicious soup recipes and make them every day, for at least the next couple of weeks… What can I say? I’ve eaten A LOT of chocolate lately! Anyway, I don’t want this to feel like a diet so I am only accepting really yummy recipes. Which is why this one here was an obvious choice!
I can’t remember where I first got this recipe but I’ve had it for years and it is one of my favorites! I love split pea soup but this recipe takes it to a whole new level, by adding other tasty veggies in there, too.
The best part? This is so easy to make, it’s ridiculous. All you need to do is throw all the ingredients into a slow cooker and wait. That’s it!
