I am lucky to have a best friend who cooks and who bakes. She spoils me.
Whenever I feel too lazy or too tired to cook and I’m alone at home, I put on my favorite hoodie, snatch my car keys, and drive straight to her house. She’s a full-time housewife so I don’t really bother her much. She loves it when I go visit because she gets bored. Plus, I even help by playing with my godson when she needs to attend to household chores. In return, she cooks food for the three of us. It’s a full meal consisting of an appetizer and main course, and one really delicious dessert!
Just last week, my boyfriend was out of town and that leaves me unmotivated to try and cook something for the weekend. I packed a couple of shirts and drove straight to my best friend’s house, trying to impose on her over the weekend. I get lonely too, you know! I knew her husband was away so it’s a win-win situation for both of us. We were both feeling lazy though, so she just cooked us an easy beef stroganoff. She prepared the meal without too much of a hassle. We enjoyed it while having one of our girl talk moments. It’s one satisfying evening—good meal and good company!
