My sister called me and told me that we had some cousins coming to town that we hadn’t seen in a while.
She wanted to do a little gathering at her place so that we could all get together. I’m always ready for a get together…anything to get me out of the house! I asked her what I should bring and she explained that it was going to be mid-afternoon and pretty small so maybe just an appetizer would be fine. I found these little pieces of cream cheese wrapped deliciousness a little while before that, so I figured now was the perfect opportunity to make them.
I got them all assembled, and then showed up to my sister’s about a half hour or so before everyone was supposed to be there so I could toss them in the oven. The smell alone was enough to make my mouth water.
When these came out, I could barely contain my excitement. In fact, I burnt my tongue trying one fresh out of the oven. That was probably a good thing because it slowed me down from eating the rest before everyone else got there.
These were the most popular and most talked about food at the whole party. I got two things out of that event, a nice visit with the family, and a new recipe to use again and again!
