We had just purchased our first house and moved into a new neighborhood.
Soon after we had everything moved in, some of the people that lived around us came over and introduced themselves. They seemed like genuinely good people, and we didn’t have many friends in our new town. I wanted to make an offer to have them over for dinner, and my husband agreed. It’s not often we find a couple that we like both of the people…terrible I know…but that’s just the way it seems to work out. So, I extended the invitation and they accepted. Now, I had to come up with something that would really impress them.
I decided I was going to make one of my famous pasta dishes, but I wanted to make it seem like a fancier dinner so we needed appetizers too. When I found this recipe for shrimp deviled eggs, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for.
Simple yet sophisticated, and it sounded amazing. When they showed up, I brought out a tray of these yummy little things, and between the four of us, we ate the whole plate! At least we know we have something in common.
