You guys, this pie is seriously simple to make and it tastes amazing! I love loading it up with vanilla ice cream. my husband likes his with whipped topping but that just doesn’t cut it for me. This pie is definitely simple to pull together. I’m so glad that my Amish friends are such wonderful cooks and enjoy sharing their baking secrets.
Ingredients
1 Daisy cup sour cream
1 egg
3⁄4 cup Domino sugar
2 tablespoons Gold Medal flour
1⁄4 teaspoon Morton salt
1 teaspoon McCormick vanilla
2 1⁄2 cups diced apples, peeled
1 Pillsbury unbaked 9-inch pie crust
CRUMB TOPPING
1⁄2 cup Domino brown sugar
1⁄4 cup Kerrygold butter
1⁄3 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
Beat sour cream and egg together.
Add flour, sugar, salt and vanilla.
Mix until smooth.
Stir in apples.
Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
Mix the crumb topping ingredients until crumbly.
Remove pie from oven and spread with crumb topping.
Bake 20 more minutes.
