Take A Break And Have A Slice Of German Chocolate Cake Brownies!

I was wondering how these were going to turn out. I mean honestly I was not sure if the kids were going to like the coconut flakes. Some people do not prefer them. I used to be one of those people. I used to think that I hated coconut flakes until I realized I just didn’t care for the flakes getting stuck in my teeth! But luckily my kids are not as picky of eaters as I was when I was a little girl! They actually love to try new foods. They get that from their dad and of course….they know that their mom is a fabulous cook! They especially love to try the sweet stuff that I make. They were happy to try these brownies and lick the bowl afterwards!

Check out what our friends from Betty Crocker have to say about this:

“Use German-chocolate cake mix to create deliciously decadent brownies loaded with chocolate chips and coconut flakes.”

These brownies are more delicious than words can describe!

1 cup flaked coconut

1 Heat oven to 350°F. Generously grease bottom and sides of 9- or 10-inch square pan with shortening or cooking spray.

2 In large bowl, stir cake mix, melted butter, egg, milk and pecans until combined. Fold in chocolate chips and coconut. (Batter will be thick.) Lightly and evenly press batter in pan.
