My son was graduating from high school, so that meant we had a slew of parties to go through over the summer. It seemed like every weekend from June to August was booked solid. It didn’t leave much time for anything else. Besides being able to share pride of our kid’s accomplishments with other adults, another bonus to these parties is the great food, and not having to cook. Most of the time it was the same things. Chicken, meatballs, ham, roast beef, pulled pork, and salads as far as the eye could see.
The one party that we went to though was for my son’s best friend. They had been buddies since kindergarten, and they never separated. It was amazing how tight their bond was. It was also incredible that his mom had prepared all the food herself.
The most unusual BBQ pulled pork that I had ever seen was on the table, covered in white sauce! It was just like this recipe from The Seasoned Mom, and it was amazing! I had to steal a copy of the recipe before we left. I wasn’t walking away without it.
