I had purchased a bag of chicken tenders at the supermarket one day when they were on sale. I usually didn’t make tenders at home. That was something that the kids would get when we went out to eat. They were quite the bargain though so I figured, what the heck. Then, I tossed them in the freezer and kind of forgot about them. I never really made them before like I said, so I wasn’t quite sure exactly what to do with them. I thought about making them plain, but that sounded pretty boring.
They were starting to reach the point where I was worried they might go bad, so I decided to pull them out and do a search online for different ideas. I found a few, but this one for a sweet and spicy version on Group Recipes sounded like the winner.
I’m glad I picked this one. Everyone at the house really liked them. I used about half the amount of cayenne just to be sure they weren’t too hot for the kids, and it turned out perfectly. Tenders are a regular item on my shopping list now!
