We were going to be having our start of the summer picnic at work. We get to do it once a year and it really helps in bringing everyone’s attitudes up at the job place. The boss comes and gives out awards for things like performance, attendance, and anniversaries. It’s great to relax and enjoy the people we work with without all the stresses that come with the job. The greatest part is, we do it on a Saturday so we can bring all of our family with us too. It’s a great event.
The dinner is usually a potluck style, and then we settle for a small bonus instead of a catered meal. We used to have someone else do the cooking, but our boss gave us the option to put the money in our pockets instead, and we jumped on it.
Broccoli cranberry salad is my regular dish. I made it one year, and people loved it so much, they told me never to bring anything else ever again. It’s just like this recipe from Spend With Pennies. It’s quick, easy, and delicious, so I have no problem making it at all.
