If there’s one thing that my Grandpa could always do, that was eat. It seemed like he was a bottomless pit. Whenever anything was set down in front of him, he would finish it. I’m not sure if he was really that hungry all the time, or if he just didn’t want anything to go to waste. I’m guessing it was a combination of the two, but who knows. He wasn’t afraid to say if something didn’t taste good either. Now, just because he didn’t necessarily love the taste, it didn’t mean that he wasn’t going to eat it.
One of his favorite dishes by far was Grandma’s cabbage and noodles. I think he would eat the whole pan if Grandma would have gave it to him. Thankfully, she would let us get ours first, otherwise we probably never get a single bite!
Her recipe was a lot like this one from Spend With Pennies. The only thing that she did differently than this is make her own homemade noodles. I haven’t perfected that yet, but this way is just as good.

Quick Tip: If you like heat, try it with a spicy sausage.
