I don’t know what it is about Doritos, but my kids love them. They have loved them since they were very little. I like them, but I wouldn’t say I love them. When I was browsing around for new recipes, like I often do at my age, I found one for a Dorito casserole. It just so happened that my son’s birthday was coming up around the corner, so I figured that it would make a nice birthday dinner. He’s my only kid that usually just wants dinner at home instead of going out, which is fine with me.
The casserole that I made was a lot like this one from Spend With Pennies. I made it with all the toppings on the side, just so that we could all get something that we liked. It was really tasty!
I think my son thought that the casserole was his birthday present. He was so happy about it, he said he wants it every year for his birthday for the rest of his life. I guess in a few years I’m going to have to be teaching him how to make it!
