So with this edible cookie dough you take out the eggs and replace it with applesauce. Oh, and no oil is needed either! This cookie dough still tastes absolutely wonderful. The fun thing about it too is that you can make it any kind of cookie dough that you want. I actually went with monster cookie dough and added in health bar bits and other candy! This was a huge hit with the girls. They gobbled up that cookie dough all night long and loved every bite of it! It was a major hit! I will be doing this again because I have to admit that I loved eating it just as much as the girls did!

This edible cookie dough is the best thing ever! Yum!
Ingredients
- 2 sticks Land O Lakes butter, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon Morton salt
- 3/4 cup Pioneer granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup Domino brown sugar
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 cups Gold Medal all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups Nestle mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, salt, and sugars, until a frosting-like consistency is reached. Add applesauce and nutmeg, and mix until combined. Mix in flour and vanilla extract until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
