It was time to schedule our monthly book club meeting. I had just had it at my house the previous month, but the woman that was supposed to take her turn was going to be out of sorts because she had to have surgery. I volunteered to do it again because I didn’t want us to miss our meeting. I look forward to them. It’s a great time to get some educational adult conversation in after dealing with toddlers all day. My husband didn’t look to happy about it when I told him, but he gets over things pretty easily.
I had made a coffee cake the month before as our little treat, so I had to do something better than that this month. Oh, I forgot to mention. The person that hosts the party is also in charge of the food, so yea, that’s why not too many people volunteer when it’s not their turn.
Luckily, I had seen this good morning crumb cake on Creme De La Crumb right before agreeing to a second hosting, so I knew I was going to make it. It was a huge hit among all the men and women in the group. They’re going to want me to host all the time now!
