It was the evening of my sister’s bachlorette party. I had planned the entire event as her maid of honor. There were going to be games, gifts, dancing, and a lot of laughs I was sure. Part of the night was going to include a nice dinner out on the town. I did let her pick the place though, because she lived in the city and knew more places to go than what I did. When we sat down to eat with all of her friends, she asked me if I wanted to share an appetizer with her. Of course I did, whatever she wanted.
She picked something that I had never had before, spinach artichoke dip. I looked at her with eyes that probably said I was a little unsure about her selection. She told me not to worry that it was really tasty. I trusted her, because we usually like the same things.
After I took my first bite, it was instantly one of my new favorite foods. I couldn’t stop eating it. By the time the main course came, I was already filled up on that delicious dish. She gave me that I told you so look as everyone sat visiting, and I reciprocated with the you were right smile.
