At every holiday dinner there is always tons of delicious foods that you see over and over again, but never get sick of. Even though we eat these foods all the time they always seem so special at the holiday dinners. I know that I take extra special time making the dish that I am taking over to my sisters house, which is where I seem to go for all of the holiday dinners.
My favorite dishes to make are a sweet one and a savory one. I have never made a whole holiday meal on my own before, but I do my part and bring over some delicious food. I always bring over a sweet potato pie and green bean casserole. Everyone knows that if I am coming over for the holiday dinner that I will be bringing both of those dishes to eat!
This past holiday dinner I decided to spice up my green bean casserole and do something different. Instead of putting the french onions on the green bean casserole I topped it off with actual onion rings! Who doesn’t love onion rings! Everyone was so pleasantly surprised by this switch up. This casserole turned out perfect and the onion rings added a delicious flavor then the same old thing!
