These Pigs In A Blanket Pack Something A Lil’ Extra

My youngest daughter had a birthday party a few weeks back and this is what she wanted for her meal, just pizza piggies. I couldn’t do that to everyone. They are good, but for a social event like that, they make a better appetizer. Even though, that’s all some of the kids ate were the pizza piggies. Several mom’s came up to me and asked for the recipe so that they could make them for their kids at home. It’s so easy, I already have this one memorized!

Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Small Town Woman:

“Prepped and cooked in just a few minutes these are great for an appetizer, lunch, unexpected guests, and kids parties.”

There is no wrong time to make these… they are always good!

Ingredients

2 packages Pillsbury crescent rolls

1 package Ekrich little smokies

Hormel Pepperoni slices

Sliced mozzarella cheese

1 egg

1 tablespoons milk

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cut crescent rolls in 1/2 or 1/3’s. Add 1 small triangle of mozzarella to large end of triangle. Wrap little smokies in a piece of pepperoni and roll from widest end to least widest end.

Continue until all smokies are gone. Place seam side down on cookie sheet.

Beat egg and milk to create egg wash. Brush over the crescent part of each wrapped smokie.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until they brown and before too much mozzarella melts out.

Quick Tip: For the best results, cut some of the crescents in half and some in thirds.
