When my son was graduating from high school last year, you could say that I was a wreck, and that’s putting it mildly. I didn’t want him to graduate. Well I did. I just didn’t want him to be so old. Where did the time go? It felt like I was just bringing him home from the hospital in his little car seat. I remember it like it was yesterday. Such a joyful time. I wanted this to be a happy time too, but I was really struggling with coming to terms with the fact that he was going to be going off to college.
I had to do something to take my mind off of everything. That’s when I decided it was time to start planning a graduation party. Bringing out all those old pictures of him helped a little bit. I got to see how much he had grown and what a good boy he was. It gave me confidence that he was going to be fine.
During the meal planning process, I found this recipe on Small Town Woman for a chicken Caesar pasta salad and added it to the menu of foods we were going to serve. It looked fabulous!
