When my husband and I first met, there was one thing that didn’t take me long to figure out. He loved Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Every time we went out to eat, it was his go to choice from the menu. Some he said were really good, others he didn’t care for so much, and he knew the difference between the good and the bad. When our first wedding anniversary came around, I wanted to surprise him by making his favorite sandwich for lunch. We were going out for dinner and I kind of wanted to seem him order something different.
I looked up a few different recipes for the meal online, and they looked hard! I didn’t have time or patience to work that hard that day. Suddenly, this recipe from Spend With Pennies popped up on my screen. Now we’re talking! This was going to be the ticket.
Quickly, I ran to the store and found all the ingredients I needed to make this. I got home and tossed it in the slow cooker and crossed all my fingers and toes in hopes that he would like it.
