No matter what kind of pasta dish my Grandma made, it was always delicious. She could make butter and noodles and it was melt in your mouth incredible. I never understood what made her recipes so much better than the ones my Mom made, until Mom shared the secret with me. Grandma made her own noodles. Well, hot dog! “Why don’t you do that Mom?” was of course my reaction. She told me that it was a lot of work, and she didn’t always have the time for that.
She then told me the recipe, which was just like this one from Group Recipes. From then on out, I decided that I would help Mom in the kitchen by making the pasta when she was making a recipe that required noodles. It was a little difficult at first, but after I got the hang of it, it was a piece of cake.
Still to this day, I use this same recipe to make a variety of things at home. My husband can’t get enough of this yummy noodle, and neither can my kids.
