When my husband and I first met, our favorite thing to do together was try out different restaurants in the city that wasn’t too far from our house in the quieter countryside. It was something exciting and different, and we really enjoyed spending that intimate time together enjoying new foods. After a while, we had picked out a few of our favorite places, and those are the ones that we frequented the most. The one steakhouse had the most amazing twice baked potatoes. I would get one every time we went. I always switched up my main entree, but you can bet that this was the side dish I was picking time and time again.
I found a recipe that reminded me of those potatoes on All Recipes recently, and decided that I would try making them myself at home. Now that we have three kids at home, going out to eat isn’t always in the budget.
Doing these at an affordable price is so much better, and they are just as tasty. In fact, I think they are even better when I do them because I can decided the amount of toppings to use, which is exactly what you can do!
