2-Ingredient Apple Dumpling Bake That Won’t Wreck Your Waistline

I’m not sure that my kids are too happy about me loading their little ones up with sugar whenever they come over, but at least they know they are safe and sound at our house. Apple filling is the best in this dessert in my opinion, but you could probably use whatever flavor pie filling you like. I know my grandson loves it when I make this with a cherry filling… the kid just loves cherries. There are never any leftovers whenever I make this I know that much. Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Spend with Pennies:

“This has to be the easiest dessert EVER, you’re just two ingredients away from an amazing dessert!  My 10 year old probably would’ve eaten the whole recipe had I let her (trust me, she asked)!”

This disappears just about as quickly as it goes together!

Ingredients

1 (21 oz) can of Duncan Hines Apple Pie Filling

1 roll Pillsbury crescent rolls

1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Open crescent rolls and cut into 12-14 equal pieces.

Stir Apple Pie Filling and crescent rolls (and cinnamon if using) together to coat the crescents with the sauce.

Pour into a 2 qt casserole dish, ensuring the crescent pieces are on top of the pie filling.

Bake 25-30 minutes or until crescents are completely cooked flipping crescents after 15 minutes.

Serve warm with ice cream
