I love my grandchildren more than life itself. I never knew that I could love any human being as much as I loved my own children, but by golly, it sure did happen when those little munchkins were born. I am blessed with the fact that my kids never really moved too far away from home. My daughter actually lives on the same street, and my son just lives across town. Now that the grand kids are getting older, they are starting to venture out on there own.
Guess where they usually go? That’s right… Grandma and Grandpa’s house. (That’s me!) I mean, if I would have had the opportunity to go to my Grandparent’s as much as I wanted growing up, I definitely would have. That’s where all the spoiling comes from.
Whenever they show up, I like to load them up with sweets and treats before they go back home. That’s why this 2-ingredient apple dumpling dessert from Spend with Pennies is so good. I can easily keep the supplies I need on hand and it cooks up in no time at all. The kids just love it!
