My kids are always starving. I swear they eat 23 hours out of the day. I get tired of them eating junk food all the time. You know the chips, cookies, and candy that are just too easy to grab out of the cupboard. Granted, I should probably stop buying so much, but sometimes it’s just easier that way instead of me trying to make a homemade snack. That doesn’t mean that I’m not always looking for new ideas though. I usually have some time before they get home from work to whip something together, and these sweet sticks are one of my go-tos.
When I saw these on Bakerita the first day, I wasn’t quite sure about cheese and brown sugar mixed together. I mean, brown sugar obviously goes with everything, but cheese? I was willing to give it a shot. My kids usually eat anything so I wasn’t too worried about them getting left uneaten.
Surprisingly to me, the flavor combo was pretty darn good. I even ate a few before they came home. They polished off the rest of them. The nice thing was that I didn’t have to hear about them being hungry again until dinner time. That works for me!
