Where I live in the south, we are really big on our festivals. I mean we can have them all year because our weather is great. Not bragging of course! My favorite festival of all time is the strawberry festival. Who does not like big luscious, juicy strawberries?! When these strawberries are in season they are absolutely gorgeous and delicious to eat! Well, this festival is wonderful. It is all about strawberries!
I had gone to his festival many times and I thought I had tried everything. The strawberry shortcake was always my go to when I came to the festival. I had to have a piece of the strawberry pie, with a scoop of ice cream. I would buy tons of strawberries to take home so that I could make some highly delectable strawberry desserts or to just eat plain. Sometimes I would just throw the strawberries in some vanilla yogurt, mix in some oatmeal and have that for breakfast!
Well, I was walking around the fairgrounds and I noticed a different type of treat. It was rhubarb strawberry cobbler! Yum! I had never had that before. I had to try it and I did! It was so mouth watering good! I had to find a recipe, which is the one below. I have made this many times and love it! My family gobbles it up too!
