For some reason, after I bought my first house, it instantly turned into the new meeting place. I think it’s probably because of the central location. It’s not any bigger than anyone else’s house so that couldn’t be why everyone wanted to always meet here for family gatherings. I didn’t mind though. I love entertaining! The only thing that I don’t love so much, is trying to come up with enough food to serve everyone. The last family gathering was going to bring about thirty people through the door.
I looked at my mom with a look that must of said, “Help!” She told me not to worry, she would bring sloppy joes. How ideal! I didn’t even think of that. She brought in a huge pot of slow cooker sloppy joes just like this recipe from Spend with Pennies. They were very successful.
Everyone had at least one I think so it was a nice filler. All the rest were side dishes and appetizers so it worked out just fine. Now, when I know we have a crowd coming, I don’t hesitate to whip these together.
