I went over to a friend’s house recently for a dinner party. Well actually, my whole family did. It was a kid-friendly party. That doesn’t happen very often with the friends that we have so it was pretty exciting. Granted, we like our adult time too, but we want to be able to take our kids to houses where we can all enjoy each other. I was a little nervous about what was going to be for dinner, because no matter how hard I try, my kids are still pretty picky eaters.
I don’t remember being like that growing up. We got what Mom made or we didn’t eat. Anyways, I almost stopped at the drive thru but figured I was going to take the gamble. They invited kids, so they have to have something they like right? Well, they did!
It was this taco tater tot casserole from Spend with Pennies. They had two great big pans of it. It was so delicious. I loved it, my husband did, and so did the kids.
I have the recipe now so this is going to be going on my table a lot in the future. A dish we all like is always a winner in my book.
