When my brother finally announced his engagement last year, I couldn’t believe that it was going to happen, finally. He had been dating the same girl since high school, nearly a decade earlier. Everyone knew it was going to happen, we just weren’t sure when, or what the hold up was. But, he got on one knee and put a ring on her finger, so I was ready to start planning. I am a bit of a “Martha Stewart” my mom says, so everyone always comes to me for ideas and suggestions.
I recommended doing an intimate rehearsal dinner at home. It would be a lot cheaper, and since they didn’t have a huge wedding party, it wouldn’t be that much work. I told them I would take care of everything, they just had to find a location. Her mother and father had a nice big shed that was perfect for the occasion.
I decided that I would make a baked chicken parmesan that I had seen on Delish Plan for after the wedding rehearsal had ended. It went over really well with the whole party. It was so much easier to make a bigger quantity this way too rather than the traditional method.
