After my husband and I started having kids, we always talked about how important it was to remember our relationship and why we fell in love in the first place. We had heard so many stories about couples drifting apart after the little ones came into the picture, and we didn’t want to be another one of those sad stories. So, we made it a point to be sure to have a date night at least once a month. Usually, we would try and get a baby sitter and get out.
However, that wasn’t always possible. One night when we couldn’t find anyone, I decided that I would make dinner for us at home. I whipped up the most delicious and beautiful looking chicken francesca that I had seen on All Recipes. After the kids were all bathed and tucked nicely in their beds, we got to enjoy our evening together.
It was almost better than going out, because we got each others undivided attention with no outside distractions. The bill was pretty appealing too. I think we are going to have more date nights like this in the future. It was very romantic, and the food was delish!
