Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. At first, I don’t take it seriously. When I was in university, sleep was more important to me. So whenever I stayed late studying, I would wake up an extra hour later in the morning. That extra hour was supposedly for my breakfast time. But I’d rather go to classes hungry than sleepless. It’s been a few months before I noticed that it wasn’t an ideal arrangement. I become more tired in class and I usually develop headache. Breakfast allows you to be ready for your fay- missing it is totally not the best decision you will ever make.

I always make sure that I make something for my husband during breakfast. He is similar to me- whenever he comes home late, he sleeps an extra hour in the morning. Whenever that happens, I have something else ready for him, may it be a sandwich or a doughnut.

Quick Tip: Gravy Technique: Sprinkle the browned meat with flour to make a roux in the skillet.  Cook the flour-coated meat for a few minutes until the flour-flavor goes away. Add the cream and spices. Don’t try to mix your flour into your liquid and then pour it in.  You’ll get lumps.
