Whenever we have an event that is potluck style, we can almost guarantee that Mom is going to bring this. If she doesn’t, she’s going to have a pretty disappointed bunch on her hands. I took this recipe from her to so I can make it for my family at home. My kids and husband aren’t big fans of the green pepper, onion, and mushrooms, so I usually just make a meat one with the pepperoni. Then I can toss in some ham, bacon, sausage, or whatever else we have in the fridge. It goes over amazingly, whatever I put in the pan. Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Group Recipes:
“All the flavors of a pizza, but put into a casserole.”
When you don’t want a greasy pizza for dinner, you can have the same flavor in a casserole.

1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained (optional)
1 (3.25 ounce) package Hormel sliced pepperoni
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Pam cooking spray
3 quart Pyrex baking dish

Sprinkle over the pizza sauce with the beef.
If using green pepper, onion or mushrooms, sprinkle them over the beef.
Layer the pepperoni over the top of your toppings selection.
Sprinkle both cheeses completely over the top of the dish.
