Old MacDonald Will Sing E-I-E-I-O Just To Have A Taste Of This Cheesy Casserole

This farmer’s casserole came from a site called Real House Moms. You can find a lot of other home cooked recipes in there that you would love to try for your family. Who wouldn’t love such a savory casserole recipe? Definitely not my family. They fell in love at first bite with this flavorful rich and cheesy casserole.

 

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Great Value frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 3/4 cup Sargento shredded monterey jack cheese (or pepperjack)
  • 1 cup Hormel cooked ham, diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 4 Eggland’s eggs, beaten
  • 1 (12 oz) can Eagle Brand evaporated milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon Morton salt

 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Grease a 2 quart baking dish
  3. Arrange hash brown potatoes evenly in the bottom of the prepared dish
  4. Sprinkle with cheese, ham, and green onions
  5. In a medium bowl, mix the eggs, evaporated milk, pepper, and salt
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the potato mixture in the dish
  7. The dish may be covered and refrigerated at this point for several hours or overnight
  8. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes (or 55 to 60 minutes if made ahead and chilled) in the preheated oven, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean
  9. Let stand 5 minutes before serving
