Any kind of stew serves as my family’s comfort food. My husband always requests for stew simply because he wants something warm whenever he comes home from work. It doesn’t matter if it’s the middle of the sweltering summer; he really wants something that will warm him up all over. Sometimes, soup can do the job. But there are nights wherein a stew is better. It’s more flavorful and heavier than soups.
My husband’s favorite stew always involves pork or beef. He loves beef the most because beef really has that amazing flavor that not even pork possesses. The extra juices coming from the beef makes everything taste better.
The best thing about stew recipes is that you can adjust the flavors based on how you want them to taste. You don’t need to stick verbatim to the instructions and the ingredients because this is not as tricky as baking a cake. You have the freedom to control the flavor.
