Brownies made up most of my college life. I mean I will admit that I wasn’t such a healthy eater when I was in university. But can you blame me? I was a struggling student, working hard while studying hard. Spending so much on food wasn’t on my list back then. I think my Mom sort of caught up with it one time because whenever I came home, I ate like a starved woman. I didn’t want them to worry. After all, it was my choice to go to a different college.
So back to the brownies. There was a café near our apartment which sold brownies at such a small price. You get three brownies for a small amount of money, and for me, that was a huge bargain.
Sometimes I ate brownies all day along with a glass of milk. I was always satisfied to be honest; the brownies are dense and super moist and fudgy. I could eat them all day, every day!
But you know, too much of a good thing is bad. I long since learned to balance my food intake and I am happy about that. Still, sometimes I indulge on brownies and no one can stop me.
These whole wheat dark chocolate espresso brownies are my favorites. They’re a little healthier than most brownies; and you’ll be surprised by how delicious the dark chocolate was. You should try making this for your family and you’ll never be disappointed.
