Who doesn’t want black forest cake? My family loves it so much. We love the combination of the chocolate, the cream, and even the cherry. There is something special about black forest that makes you want to eat it again and again and again. When I was still a kid, my Mom would always buy me and my brother a slice of black forest cake from a bakery in town. We would share of course, because Mom never wanted us to indulge ourselves on desserts all the time. But my brother and I were always content- better to have half than none at all.
I am just glad that we can have this dessert at home now. It’s easy to make and you will not slave around in the kitchen all day for it. Doesn’t that sound nice?
Bring out your pretty trifle glasses and start working on these beauties. This classic recipe will make your family happy, believe me. Mine did the happy dance when I made this for them.
My husband always requests for this because he simply can’t have enough. I don’t know where he puts it all, but he’s never gained an ounce of fat from all the rich desserts he’s consumed. Lucky guy, I guess.

Quick Tip: The amaretto can be sprinkled directly on to the cherry layer if you want to add a little something to just one or two of them.
