Could I please have one more slice..?
I usually get enticed by food through its smell. Sometimes, when you don’t recognize a food by how it looks, you try to smell it. If it smells heavenly, of course you will try it. And because of that, you will be introduced to a new dish that may or may not become your favorite. That’s how I usually search for new favorites, by the way. During these events where there are caterers, I usually try everything as long as it smells good to me. And the ones that I love will be recreated at home a few days later.
Just recently, I attended a potluck with my churchmates. They are fond of organizing potlucks right after church, and if I can, I always attend. These are good people and I am pleased to be their friend.
Maria is known for her unusual cakes. However, even if people are always skeptical at first, it will still end up with all of us trying her cake and loving it. What can I say- Maria’s cake did know how to get your attention.
The last cake she brought to the potluck smells so heavenly I felt like I was floating on air. My feet were carried towards the table by an air of enticing aroma coming from the cake. I knew then that I had to taste it or I will go insane.
It was the most luscious brown butter cake that I have ever tasted. The cake was moist and the scent that comes out when you run your fork towards it was something unforgettable. I knew I wasn’t the only one who became obsessed.
I think you better try this cake. No, I know you should try this cake.
