There are those desserts that just taste magical. No matter how much you try to resist, you couldn’t; simply because the dessert is so out-of-this-world delicious. Whenever I make a dessert at home, I always make sure that it will make my family feel special. Sure, I make a lot of classic desserts that will not surprise them anymore. However, there are times when I find a dessert that will give them that dessert shock I’m always looking for. It feels nice to surprise them and make them happy at the same time.
Food usually makes my family happy. I will make anything and they will just love it, simply because they appreciate anything that’s good for their stomachs. That’s what I love most about my family- they will appreciate anything as long as it’s food.
A few nights ago, I made them something magical; something that they didn’t expect. These cookie bars are so delicious and so chewy you feel like you’re chewing on fluffy clouds. My kids love this recipe so much that they always get a second bar each.
These cookie bars are addicting. I have to warn you now so you can prepare more in advance before serving to your family. I tried to limit the consumption, but believe me, you will have a hard time.

Quick Tip: Most cookies and crackers will work for the cookie crust, but avoid any cookie that is a shortbread (or has a large proportion of butter) since they tend to make a greasy crust.
