I am a fan of my Mom’s mashed potatoes. I always say that no one can even come close to the creamy mashed potatoes my Mom used to make, still makes actually. Her mashed potatoes recipe is really so good I am not able to find anything that could even taste half as good. Maybe I’m just biased because she’s my mother, but even my friends said so. They were frequent visitors in the house when we were just teens, and that’s what they said all the time.
My family eats mashed potatoes all the time, and I have my own mashed potato recipe. I adapted my Mom’s recipe and turned it to something I can call my own. We pretty much pair it with most of our roasted meat.
Making mashed potatoes isn’t really difficult, but it takes effort and time. My Mom used to make it without anything to help her other than the stove. I remember waiting for a long time in the kitchen with her.
But this mashed potatoes recipe that I found over at The Kitchn gives us an easier method on how to make mashed potatoes. When I found this, I couldn’t believe I haven’t thought about this. Cooking mashed potatoes in a slow cooker is possible and this recipe will tell you all!
