My husband is a fan of salted caramel cakes. He loves the complementary yet different tastes of salty and sweet. If you serve my husband with a slice of salted caramel bars, he will ask for another and another and another, until he realizes that he shouldn’t be consuming so much in one sitting. It still amuses me up to this day how he could maintain his lean physique without getting an ounce of fat. I think it really has something to do with metabolism because he hasn’t been going to the gym lately.
Whenever my mother-in-law visits, she always makes sure to spoil us. She cooks all of our favorite things and ask us to tuck in and eat as much as we want. Those days usually mean an additional pound for me- I have no regrets.
