Last night, I was watching the movie Clueless with the husband. There was a part there when the girl was preparing for a date by popping cookie dough in the oven. She forgot about it and prepared herself, almost burning the expensive kitchen down. I found the movie entertaining because it made me think- have I ever been like that when I was younger? Then I knew the answer almost immediately- NO. That answer is the reason why I found it entertaining actually.
After the movie, my husband told me that the most disturbing thing about it was the cookie dough being popped up whole in the oven. I laughed because he was so concerned with the cookie dough. And then he glared at me and said: “that’s a full roll of cookie dough! Imagine if she cooked it well, it could have fed people.”
Well, he has a point, but I still laughed. He really takes food as seriously as he takes his job. That’s not really bad at all, but he’s too cute when he’s reacting like that.
To tease him and at the same time to make him happy, I made a dessert that I was sure he would love the next day. It’s this fudge brownies cookie dough cake I found over at Whisk Kid. It’s an amazing cake that anyone will surely fall head over heels for.
